Introducing our new Physio led Postnatal Reformer Pilates block

We’re excited to share a brand-new addition to our Albyn Terrace timetable, a 6-week Physiotherapist led postnatal Reformer class designed to support mums as they return to exercise safely and confidently.

Led by Physiotherapist Anna, who works in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy, this class not only focuses on movement but will also include an educational component each week.

Think of it as a blend of guided exercise and expert advice — giving you the knowledge and confidence to rebuild strength postnatally.

What makes this class different?

Unlike our drop-in Postnatal Reformer classes at Cults, this is a structured programme. Over six weeks, each session builds on the last, so you’ll notice steady progress in your strength, control, and confidence.

Why is this class child-free?

We know many of our mums love our baby-friendly classes at Cults, which are perfect when childcare isn’t an option. But we also heard from mums who do have childcare and would love an hour that’s just for them.

That’s why this new class is designed to be a child-free space,  a chance to focus fully on yourself and connect with your postnatal body.

Who is it for?

This first block is intended for:

  • Mums in the early stages of postnatal recovery (6 weeks after vaginal delivery, 8 weeks after C section)

    Or

  • Those who are a little further along but are just starting to reintroduce exercise.

What will we cover?

Alongside the exercises, you’ll have the chance to discuss topics and concerns that matter to you during your postnatal recovery. With Anna’s expertise in pelvic health physio there’s nothing that’s TMI! Common themes include:

  • Pelvic floor health

  • Diastasis (abdominal separation)

  • Building core strength

  • Appropriate return to other exercise

In short

This class isn’t a standard Reformer Pilates class. It’s about education, community, and empowering mums to feel strong, confident, and supported in their postnatal recovery.

The block starts on Friday 5th September, 11.10am and costs £81 for the 6 week block.

Spaces are limited and can be booked online here.
